Collins: Giuliani would be a "great chief executive" for NY.

Collins told reporters at a Friday media fathering that he supports the potential candidacy of Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City Mayor. "He would make a great chief executive for New York State," said Collins, who would not totally dismiss his own gubernatorial run, if Giuliani declines.

"That is a decision we'd have to look at; it's certainly not been taken off the table."

Collins found himself on the national political radar in 2008 when he was asked to speak at the Republican National Convention.
