Giuliani attends Lincoln-Reagan Dinner

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani headlined a GOP dinner in Albany. It was his second such fundraiser over the course of two weeks. This, as more polls suggest he would beat Governor David Paterson if Paterson were to run as the incumbent.

Giuliani says he's not running for anything right now, but America's mayor did take a shot at Paterson's budget:

"You gotta squeeze that budget all the way down so you don't have to raise taxes. So instead you can lower some taxes, that will encourage businesses to come to New York. Encourage some businesses to expand. I can't emphasize how the exact opposite approach from the budget that was passed, which I believe complete contradicts what Paterson said he was going to do," said Giuliani.

Those comments came at the Lincoln-Reagan Day Dinner in Albany Monday night.

The Siena poll shows that Giuliani would beat Governor Paterson 56 percent to 29 percent in a potential 2010 matchup...
